Word

"If you are to leave, leave abruptly.
Do not linger.
The pain is much more bearable that way.
 Like ripping off a band-aid,
 the slower you pull,
 the more painful it gets."

today's necessities

book, glasses and red pen

I saw the happiness in my father's eyes when he
saw me holding my codal.

(Codal is the book of compilation of provisions of law.)

Yes, I am TRYING to study and hopefully prepare myself for bar review.

Dear Lord, please help me!

This is the same reason why I haven't been baking...

I'm just toooooo tired!

Seriously!

nutella vs. cookie butter

Instagram has become the modern-day billboard.

For one, most celebrities and everyone who follows them almost always check on the social networking sites such as facebook, twitter and instagram to get an update as to what's happening around the metro.

Heck, even I no longer subscribe to a newspaper (although my dad still does!). But to keep me up-to-date on things, I just browse through twitter and I’m updated! Its because I follow newsites like Inquirer, ANC, CNN, Rappler, telecommunication like Globe Telecom, showbiz sites like Pep, TMZ, Eonline, even sites for government agencies and tons of celebrities…Ha!

Every morning I check on twitter feeds for news to see what’s out there! Hehehe If something interests me, I google it for more info. (Darn, I’m becoming tech-dependent! Yikes!)

Anyhow, earlier this year, its has been rampant on instagram the Speculoos Cookie Butter spread. As in every celebs have it and sorta became a semi-“status” symbol since only a few have tasted it. If you’re cool and fab and in the “in-crowd”, you certainly have posted a pic on instagram. They swore by it…even compared it to (my beloved) nutella!

Trader Joe's Speculoos Cookie Butter

So naturally, the curious kid in me had to try it…right?!? I scouted the malls and groceries—to no avail. Then I went online, but they are all pre-ordered kind of thing…and it will take atleast 2months for the product because of the demands and bulk orders. Until  early April, I found someone online selling which was pretty darn near our house, and theirs are on-hand stocks—no need to wait! Ha! So I bought 2 bottles (kahiya kasi if one lang bilhin ko!)

I tasted it, so did my mom.

My verdict? It was okay, I guess. Nothing spectacular.

I like gingerbread and cookie butter tasted like one. Although I must confess I’m not really a “butter” person—peanut butter and alike. I didn’t like it as a spread. I liked it straight from the spoon! Its not something I will crave for. I can live with or without it. But it’s a good conversation piece though, most guys I (heard) loved the cookie butter!

I am still a fan of and ever-loyal to Nutella. I love it…I crave it…I hoard it…and I look forward having it! Hehe Because I am a certified chocoholic! I can eat it with bread or from spoon. I can make a cookie or cake out of it. Its so versatile! (can you just imagine my happiness?!?) hehehe

yum! 3 is definitely not a crowd! :)

Over all I’m still for the nutella over cookie butter. But I wont turn down a cookie butter if given a chance! Hehehehehe

Word

do I look like a gamer?!? nyahaha

Life is a game of chance. The possibility of losing and getting hurt is the same with the possibility of winning and being happy. But one must play in order to win.
To taking chances...to playing the game of life! Cheers!

lovin my apples

Whoah! Time really flew so fast! As if it was only yesterday that I was having some doubts if I should buy an apple product. And now look what I have accumulated in less than two years.

From having no idea how to maneuver a Macbook Air (my Polly!), I've added a CD drive, an iphone and now an ipad mini!

WHAT THE HECK, HAPPENED TO ME?!?

Yes, I (think I) became an apple obsessed person! (I told you I take brand-loyalty to the extreme! Ha!)

my accumulations :)
i really really (REALLY) love bookbook

Also I love 12south's bookbook cover case for my iphone and ipad! I just love books (nerd much?!? hehe) and how they disguise your typical gadgets. Too bad my Polly is not clothed with bookbook because it was out of stock when I bought Polly!

I love my apples! Yessss!

pre birthday blues

Today is the last day of my 31st year on Earth...and the small fact that my age can still be found in the calendar.
On the bright side, tomorrow, my age is still found in LOTTO! DEYM! hahahaha

Cheers to the good life!

Remembering EDSA Revolution

I remember the morning of EDSA very vividly. I was awaken by the sounds of AM radio blasting from the street. I ran to my mom and she told me I am not going to school that morning. I was disappointed (yes even as kindergarten I was a nerd!). I have no idea why everyone of my neighbors are outside the street. I have no idea why helicopters roam the sky. As a kid, I have no idea what was happening yet I felt the anxiety, trepidation and even fear. Little did I know history was unfolding.

Now I know the significance of that day...one of the proudest moments for us filipinos.

May we all continue to remember what Feb25--EDSA revolution stood for.

on growing old in love

It melted my heart seeing this cute grandpa and grandma holdinghands while walking. They're soooo cute! Love the fedora hat as well! Such a groovy lolo! Never mind what seems to be 5,000 years walk while I was behind them and already running late for a meeting!

I pray that someday the Lord will bless me with that kind of love... *sigh*

wishful thinking,
